Photosynthetically Active Radiation it means the wavelengths of light that are usable for photosynthesis.

I really like the look of an ATI Pro Color. I think they stopped making them but you can still find them for sale online. I would try one before they are all gone.

    All ATI
    Blue Plus
    Pro Color
    Blue Plus
    Blue Special

Nice suggestion I looked up the pro color. Don't u think it might be a little too much though compared to the purple bulb. Won't it be a little washed out or hued? Any experience?

ha I thought I was the only person that likes some yellows and reds in my light lol. I can't remember if I ended up getting the ati color plus (I think that's what it was) or the geisemann full daylight, but I like some variety to my color. I think it lets you see colors in your coral/fish you would not other wise, and if your running t5s you probably will have a dusk/dawn time, so it's not like you will always be seeing the yellow/red look.

It would be great to bring out all the colors! Also I don't mind the redish look to appear only during dusk/dawn times, but the problem is when my two actinic bulbs and two 10000 k bulbs are on at the same time, the color IMO looks a little washed out and I want to stay away from that look during the time when all the bulbs are on at the same time. I find myself turning off the 10000k bulbs and just leave at actinics when ppl come over and I want to impress them with the colors of the coral/fish.

Just ordered two ATi Blue+ from aquariumspecialty.com. My uncle has them on his tank and they look amazing.
