Get a couple 4"x12" filter socks and stuff some of your CC in that. (Or you can use nude panty hose)..

Siphon out the rest if possible and replace with sand leaving the bags of CC in there for a few weeks to seed and prevent a cycle of your tank. ( you can also put the CC bags in the sump - this is what I did recently with some sand when I moved)...

This is the idea, the execution is a bit of a trick though. Turn pumps off and do your best not to stir everything up.

Be careful of your rock structure.... the CC could be helping to support it.

Thanks guys and that's one of my problems is that the CC is supporting the rock structure. would I be able to leave the area that's supporting the rock and work around that? Or would It work better to take out sections at a time and fill them in to support the rock as the cc is taken it out?

Hahahaha at least your honest lol well I guess I can do a little trial and error when I do it. If worst comes to worst I can always rebuild the rock if any of it falls.
