I need to replace the top and bottom trim on my 75 before setting it up. I've heard the top is a peice of cake, but the bottom is a royal PITA. Anybody have any experience replacing these? Just looking for a few pointers...Thanks,

I had to do the bottom on my 90gall it wasn't too bad. I removed all of the silicone and took the bottom glass out and cleaned all edges, put the bottom trim on and re silliconed. I did this because my tank had a leak. so far so good but i still don't trust it after a year. lol

I replaced the top frame (trim) on my 55 before selling it, and it was not a piece of cake, but wasn't too bad. Removing the old frame was very easy because I was replacing it, so had no need to be careful except not to break the glass. I used a hacksaw blade and went to town. I can't really imagine the job being easy unless there are some secrets I couldn't find on the internet and lord knows I searched long and hard.

Just take your time, and don't force anything.
