I consider myself very handy. Built a fish tank fountain for someone and I wouldn't trust myself replacing a pane like that. I would worry every day. +1 that it would scare the crap out of me.

Call some glass places around you. Do your research. I think replacing a rimless will be more complicated than a traditional tank. Is the bottom drilled or was it a back drilled tank?

I was thinking about it but Alex beat me to it. That's what I would do. Having someone replace it I would think would still be cheaper than buying a new tank. Or even used.

This is my worry. I had a $10 10g tank drilled. the glass company broke it, then fixed it, sealed it and charged me lol... I would have had them throw it out... but here we are. I didn't leak test... sure enough a flood.

I then used a TUBE OF SILICON on that one side... it still leaked. Now it could go well for you, but try to figure out the costs up fron. A 125g rimless would look AMAZING.

It's drilled through the bottom pane, I guess I'll call my local glass guy and see how much it'll run me

Wouldn't trust it. I'd buy new. Replacing your floor and live stock would be more expensive long term. Jmo

I would always have that pit of worry right in the back of my mind. Nightmares it would cause for me.
