Personally though,chinchilla's are not my pet of choice,stinky,fat furry rats ;D

Yes they are I'm volunteering at my sons school every wednesday this year, and WOW, yes they are.

Thx, I always make him earn it, and when he wants an animal, I make him read and learn everything about the animal, and give him a "test" before he gets it.

Good info, I hadn't read that, but it seems like everything but chinchilla food and hay will kill these things

Well, I thought we got a new color of chinchilla, but according to a chin forum, she is just the dirtiest chinchilla they've ever seen. Which sounds bad to me considering thats the moderator of the forum and she's seen ALOT of dirty chinchillas But she's eating, so thats good

Thanks, the chin is doing awesome, eating well, and is pretty tame and nice. Funny little critter. I'm still not a huge fan, but my son loves it, and it is rather entertaining to watch.
