    Hey Joe,

    First off, welcome!!!

I'd say your questions have been answered nicely. I'd like to +1 a couple suggestions others made.

    1. Definately go with the 75gal. If by some chance you can go bigger, go bigger! As someone mentioned, length is more the issue here vs height to give ample swimming room. One more thing on the "tank" subject. If i read it correctly, it looks like you're planning on drilling your tank. If so, please please please read up on that very well. Make sure you get the right tank and take whatever precautions tips people suggest. I've personally never done this but i know that there's a lot of factors to doing it successfully and my personal reaction to botching up a brand new 75gal+ tank wouldn't be pretty as i'm sure yours wouldn't either...

    2. +1 to the wait or even nix the linkia star idea. They tried one in our aggressive tank at work and it died pretty quick. Other one did ok but i'd def wait till you have a good established tank(which you did say you would) but they are big guys so keep that in mind...

Anyhow, good luck to you sir! I've found this is a very rewarding hobby and i haven't even gotten to the good stuff myself! Just take it slow and never ever ever jump into something without knowing what you're getting into.
