    fugly sucker is an understatememt!

thanks! I read that too. Better safe than sorry, I'm gonna try not to rush any of this process and make more problems for myself

thanks Cheryl, very frustrating indeed! It was looking so bad my only two options were give up or start over. Glad I'm going with the latter!

they are raging that's for sure! Thanks bruh, we can rebuild it, we have the technology! Haha

    thank you! Will do.

good call on the water, ill make all new for the holding tank. I have tried the special blend bacteria and it didn't help either. H2o2 was also recommended but I almost feel my system's to far gone at this point, and the total reset would be the best solution

As always, appreciate everyone's input and support. This is a great community!

Im still for syphoning the sand out, that is where most of it is.

I have had it worse that that before and killed it, i took out my sand and scrubbed my rocks in a different saltwater container, took about 2 weeks but i won.

I have also heard about the h202 working really well!

Also i wouldn't transfer any water from tank to tank!

it would take a every long time to do it like that, it would keep coming back and it would be a pain. Starting over is the best way even throw it is a lot of work.

I agree, thanks for your input though solar! There's a few things I wish I had done the first time I set up, so this is my chance to do them. I've been reading a bit on the h2o2 you mentioned, but I still think a tear down is my best option at this point.
