I up sized my tank and sold my 55gal.. When we broke down the tank I noticed the canarry wrasse was missing. we left half the water in over night in the hope it might still show up. Come morning it wasnt there, so we continued to break it down, removeing the sand to a bucket without water. Freinds called so we went to breakfast, and were gone about an hour. When we got back my husband noticed the sand in the bucket moveing. It was the canarry wrasse! My husband grabbed it by the tail and threw it in the other tank, where it still is swimming and eating like nothing happened;D It's been three days now and I'm glad it's alive but it also kinda gives me the shivers! I'll post pictures of my new 180 when I finsh setting up.

Quite a few wrasses sleep in sand overnight, or seek the sand to avoid danger. When I was shopping for a leopard wrasse, the LFS kid dug through the sand of the tank he was sure housed the fish until he found it. I didn't buy the fish, but sure enough, there it was.
