    When i woke up i saw my basslet dead on the bottom with my baby cleaner shrimp stuck in his mouth also dead.

    what happened ?

    I put the two in a ziplock and put them in the freezer for the next batch of fish food i make.

    If a fish or invert dies and i know it was healthy i would like to use it as food cause i don't want it to be a 100% waste of life.

    If it died, isn't there a good chance that it wasn't healthy?

    ol'chalky bit off more then he could chew, he choked to death. chalk basslets will eat shrimp.

    I believe they draw in water through there mouths to run it over there gills. if the mouth is completely blocked off, they start to have trouble. If they are struggling with something it makes it worse.

    Dumb fish killed it self and its pray.
