I am restarting (after a 10 year break) I have a 55 gal All Glass tank, Aragonite sand (I am going the DSB this time), and salt. I will be mixing up the water tomorrow, and let the pump run for a few days to let every thing settle in.
I am looking at a JEBO 180 Turbo hang-on skimmer (is it any good???).

I have an old Bio-Logic filter (I think), which hangs on the back of the tank.

And a 100-watt heater is there any thing else that I need to get before I start putting fish and some Live Rock in this fish only tank?

I am attaching a photo of the filter just in case I have the wrong name.

:eek:Yes the filter still works, and not I have not been able to find my other power heads so I will have to buy 2 more.

Where would be a good place to put the powerheads, all on one side, or just randomly around the tank?

I try to keep mine on the sides or toward the back of the tank.

I have a both an Seaclone 150 and 100 I use on my 80 & 29 gallon tanks respectively. They perform like champs and are very well priced, a great value IMO. I have a Turbo Floater 1000 that I am going to install in my sump, but it is much pricier. The seaclone 150 would be great for your 55 gallon!

Great job researching and planning before getting started!

Well, the tank is setup and running. the DSB is around 3 inches deep, and I had to have the no fishing sign.
