I change my genX-40 for in sump Mag 12. Yea I should know that it is not as powerfull as GEN-X. I have 1" flex PVC as my water lines and elbows. In my system water from sump goes thru chiller to main tank. I have 4 90 elbows. Yot think flow will be better when I change them to 45 elbows? Are they restrict flow less? Thanks.

I think if it is one 45 it will be better than a 90. If you need two 45's to make 90 turn than its the same loss.

You will get a little help but not much if you have a bunch 0f 45's.

Just wonder lf it will help a little. I have 4 90 elbows. In one case I can change 90 to 45. Other three 90 I can replace with 45 couple inches of pipe and second 45. I think it might help a little. Water hits 90 hard and makes turn with 2 45s it is more steady, not that much turn.. Just thinking....

You'll get a much larger gain in flow by going to a larger diameter pipe. Look at the friction loss chart. http://www.reeflopumps.com/images/tips.pdf But this only applies if you need to get more flow out of your pump.
