Retracted Hammer Coral

    Hi everyone,
    I have a hammer coral that has been retracted since I got it three days ago.
    My perimeters are:
    Ammonia: 0
    Phosphate: 0
    Nitrite: 0
    pH:8.3
    Salinity: 1.024
    Calcium:420
    Alk:286.3
    Anyone know whats going on.:cry:

    What are your nitrate and mg levels? What type of lighting and flow do you have? Can you post a pic?

    Sorry I am new to this hobby and I can't get the pic up but my nitrate levels are 0 and had no idea I had to test for mag. Will do
    My hammer is at the bottom of the tank with moderate to high flow.

    I say Dip the coral...it could also be a pest that was bothering the coral in the past so now it's most likley in shock not to be giving the most of what it is suppose too

    Euphyllias tend to prefer lower flow as excess current can cause injury. Also, watch that Flame Angel- it may nip at corals. IMOPE, keeping them well-fed with a varied diet can avert that tendency.
