Retrofit LEDs look any good?

    Thinking of trying these from a local manufacture...what do you think? Wanting to rid my self of MH lighting. Currently running 3 175MH and 2 54w T5s.

    in terms of PAR versus the MH you already have Im not qualified to give an opinion

    but IMO they do look like well thought out units with individual relector

    Ill bump this in the hope one of the current LED users can see it and offer an opinion

    Just to add to this...don't know if you are willing to build one, but I just got a 15 x 3W LED kit (XR-E and XP-G), Heatsink, and Dimmable Driver from RapidLED for less than you'd pay for that. I don't know how many strips you'd have to get to fully light your setup, but the 15 I'm doing will cook anything in my 30 gal (why the dimmable addition).

    Well I can get them cheaper then the price posted. I know the guy and his shop is 10 minutes from my house...

    I don't like the specs on those personally; I think they're weak. Consider that one CREE is 3 watts each.

    Just my two cents...

    If you have any DIY experience and can use a solder iron; Go with the RapidLED kit. I just completed a build a few weeks ago and they are fantastic.
