I am currently setting up a 40 gallon tank and have the eheim 1260 as a return pump. I also have the red sea C skim 1200 and a used chiller that I just picked up. In skimmer set up directions, it shows that you can run a feed line off your return pump line. I did not plan on having a chiller at the time I purchased the pump. Does anyone know if I would be able to use this pump to feed the skimmer as well as the chiller?

it is a Rei- Sea LX 110 bx chiller / heater. Unfortunately, i dont have stats as it is a japanese chiller.

The prior owner had it hooked up to a 120 gallon build, I am believe he ran a eheim 1262, but he had the works , phosban, calc reactor etc. I don't know how many pumps he was running.

So depending on a chiller size and HP it makes a difference on how much GPH you have to feed it? Is that the question here?

Is it feasible that my pump can handle the function of return to the tank, skimmer feed and chiller feed?

I would say that is the question. The more things operating, I would think, the less power is being put forward to each item; thus being less productive, overall...

well, I went to the LFS and they actually had this chiller running one one of their displays...the best I could get is that it it runs 10 ~ 20 liters per minute

Personally, I don't think its enough.

I am using a 1262 for a return, uv, phosban and refugium.

If i have all valves on, I don't get much water going into the main tank. If you reduce the flow to the skimmer, I believe there would be more contact time, which could be beneficial.
