I am currently putting together a 40breeder and I need to find a decent return pump. I do not know how much GPH i would need. I am running 2 550 koralias.

    Any suggestions?

While its not the best pump money can buy I am happy with my mag 7. I use it as a return and also run a reactor off of it.

That should depend on the size of your sump. It is suggested to run a pump at 5x to 10x the volume of the sump per hour at whatever head height your outflow from the pump will be.

Eheim 1250 will be more than enough.

I've had 2 Odyssea 700 gph pumps in my sump for a year. They are quiet and work like they are new. My friend has had one in her 29/20 setup for over 2 years with no problems either.
