So I have a Mag 9 right now on my existing tank. It works fine but it is quite loud.

I am looking for recommendations on a new, quieter pump. It will be an in the sump an not external unless needed. There will be about 4-5' of head loss for now.

WaterBlaster HY-3000 or HY-5000, Eheim 1260 or 1262, Ocean Runner 3500 or Octopus 3000. All are better more efficient pumps that will use less power, create less heat and run much quieter with no restart problems.

Tunze silence 1073.05 I've got it on my 75 gal. It's awesome and quiet! My tank is in my living room.

Nice! Like I said, I can't wait to fire mine up!! One got a few 3000 and a 5000 as well.

AZ: how does a DC pump(Like a speedwave) compare to the water blaster?!
