What will you be using for a sump ? if you get a 10 gal or a 20 L simply set a little 5 gal tank in the larger sump and feed it with water tank water from the drain to the sump from main tank and allow it to overflow into the main sump. Toos in about 4" of sand into the 5 gal and light some plants and you have a fuge .

just deep sand slow flow and lots of alage they will grow all by themselves and they waill wash out and into sump and be sent up to tank as live food or chum food. I can always tell when my sumps pump is sending up meat as all the fish hang infront of the returns and swimm and dart around like crazy
