Return pump plumbing

    The outlet on my return pump is from the sump 3/4", am I supposed to increase the size of the return line to something greater than that for proper pressure, etc?

    I don't see it mention this anywhere the instructions but I thought i've seen this mentioned a before.

    well the smaller you go the higher the output pressure, now that does not mean that you will be able to drive it farther then what the pump can push. I dont remember the conversion but if you stay 3/4" all the way to the tank you will get the normal output for the pump at that distance. but if you decrease to 1/2" you may be able to go a few feet more and not lose the volume your pump can put out.

    someone correct me if I am wrong but thats how I understand it.
