Im looking for a return pump that uses screws that wont generally rust. I have a mag 7 with a year of use on it and the screws are rusting out. Also is there a way to cover the screws ie.. with silicon of some substance so that they arnt exposed to the water?

Can't you just replace them with new stainless steel screws?

They won't ever rust enough to matter. Just let them be.

I believe the screws on Mags are already stainless, but there's stainless and there's stainless. We have several old mags with rusty screws, as gcarroll sez, don't sweat it.
