    My return is less than 10 feet, but has 5 90 degree elbows and a ball valve which effectively adds feet or diminishes flow capacity. Ergo 300 gph!

    Yes that was needed to get to the opposite side of my tank to avoid the center brace and other equipment, as well as access to the outflow of the return.

    I prefer flexible hose and 45's before 90's and only use 90's when I have to. I am experimenting with bending pvc this weekend by packing it with sand and using a heat gun or propane torch. If it works and is easy enough I will let you know

    That will be great Phil. I'm perfectly content as my return is exactly equal to my supply from the overflow in my display tank. If i need to make any changes and increase my supply in the future though, that will be very helpful. Will also be very useful information to others.

    hey Phil, that sounds like itll work only suggestion i have is use thinner wall PVC as opposed to say like schedule 40
