so my parents bought a new window and i thought hey you guys are just going to throw the old glass out bu ti have a sump im building could it work.

well is 1/8 thick lnch glass (basic window glass) i mean it was strong enough to go through 100+ mph window the infamous hurricane charlie. but i figure i clean it up will nice there is enough there for me to practice on cutting before i try for real. but would it stand up to the pressure im sure cause its not like its holding water like the tank it is, but only for baffles to separate chambers

so what are your thoughts on this i really hate to see the glass go to waste

The 1/8" glass is strong enough for the baffles in the sump. I don't see any issues using the old glass.

+1. 1/8" is what I'm using in my sump. With water being on both sides for the most part there is no pressure on it. Even if you don't use it, just to get practice on cutting free glass would be worth it
