I will be ordering one of these the next time the pump on my SWC skimmer locks up.

Thanks, I'm sure it'll be a huge improvement over my CPR Backpack 2 skimmer.

Absolutely!! Well I am happy to report after 19 days my tank has gone through a dramatic change for the better. My rocks are almost completely free of algae and Cyano and the overall appearance of my tank has greatly improved. I do have one more observation on the gate valve of the skimmer though. When lowering the gate you must apply a little downward pressure on the nob to get the gate to move. The nob does run up the shaft a little and does not actually move the gate. A very simple thing but had me a little confused as to why my adjustments were not having an effect on the water level.;) Thanks again to Jon for this awesome piece of equipment the difference it has made on my system cannot be overstated.8)8)8)8)8)

Vinny great review, seems you've mastered any quirks you've come across. Thanks to your review and that are tanks are comparable in size and load I just ordered one for my 90 as well. If you don't mind that to hit you for help, I'm sure I'll have questions.;D

Sorry Nep2n somehow missed this post. I have to report that while I liked this skimmer alot at first I am really having second thoughts now. It is constantly making this brown nasty stuff and I am cleaning it once a week.;D JK I am happy to report that I have not had to touch this skimmer (except to dump yucky stuff) and it is making a HUGE difference on my system. I also will be testing it at a lower depth(6inches) then is recommended for a member who is interested in purchasing one. I will report my findings tomorrow.Good luck Nep2n I am sure you will be pleased.8)

Thanks Vinny. I will say this skimmer is working great. It's quieter than my other one and it's pulling a lot more than the other one as well. I'm actually cleaning it out every 3 days or so but then again I'm not letting it get completely full. I have mine in 7" of water and I finally got it tuned in. Let me know how it works out for ya at 6".
