He might, who knows. But by selling through EBAY, I think he is locked into the price listed.

Heres the link to pictures of the tank and how I hung it. This fixture does not look quite as bright as the 4 bulb t5 fixture I was running but there is much more usable light for the corals. I may have to move some toward the periphery as they are getting a little too much light but overall I am very happy with the light and it appears I will not need a second fixture. Corals are doing great!!!

No problem. I'm buying this unit and putting it over my 20 tall and will have it over my 55 soon (also 48"). Good to know that someone is having success with just one. How's the growth compared to your t5? What are your optics ?

I believe the optics are 120 degrees as this is what it stated on the website but I will have to confirm this with Jerry as I seem to remember him telling me that there were no optics.
It is a little too soon to gauge growth but coloration and overall health seem to be phenomenal. My clams are sure loving it!! My tank just recently got over some poor maintenance practices as I got busy with work and at the same time a bad batch of salt (Calcium 250) so I cannot credit the lights only with the dramatic transformation I have witnessed in the last few weeks. I also have to credit the Warner Marine Skimmer as a big reason why my tank is happy again!! Good luck with your lights and I would think one will be plenty of light for your 55. I like the idea of having different strengths of light in my tank. It allows me to place lower light corals on the periphery.:)

I am really wanting to buy the 120w dimmable fixtures on ebay. I currently am running 2 150w jbj mh on my 65g. is one of these units as strong as what i am running now or should i get 2 units. I am very nervous to take the plunge with these ebay lights, 300 and some odd dollars is to much to spend on bad product but from what i have read everyone seems to like them. please give me some more input on them thanks. How do they compare to other expensive brands that also use the brigdelux?

    Thanks

The lights on ebay are nothing more than chinese fixtures being resold for a higher price. I put a list of all the companies these come from in the chinese thread.

You don't want just cool white/blue. All of the companies can create the light with custom led colors that you want.
