Would it be possible to run an RGB LED rated at 3x 350mA per diode on a Meanwell 1050mA constant current driver?
I am looking at these diodes:
Triple Output High Power RGB LED

Edison 3W LED RGB Star PCB CC

My aim is to add some extra color to my current LED setup by swapping out some of the CW diodes.

Or would it just be easier to get a 700mA driver and use individual colored LEDs?

No; you'll fry those real quick.

No offense here, but you really need to understand the fundamentals of voltage and current before you can go dabbling into things like this.

If it's rated for 0.35A at max, that's it. 1A will burn it up. 0.7A will burn it up. Sorry.

    That's why I asked!

I figured the three diodes within each star would run in parallel, and hence only receive 1/3 of the current i.e. 350mA
    obviously I was wrong...

Ah, I presumed you'd be running each channel independently.

Sure, if you did it in that manner (3 in parallel), you'd be fine. However, you're going to have zero control over the color blend this way. Might as well use a tried and true white LED in this case, rated for the driver.
