    I am running:
    stock (current) 10k bulb, (uvl) 12k bulb, stock (current)460nm, (marine glo) 420nm

    the reason I used the marine glow is shortly after I got my light a 460nm blew out and it was the only one I could find locally.

    Thought I would update
    I just ordered a phos reactor and some phosban should be here next week.
    I got the black vinyl on the back of the tank finally, looks allot better then the blue, will post pics tomorrow.

    Nice pictures! We have the same light fixture - did you upgrade the bulbs? Mine came with 2 39-watt 10k and 2 39-watt 460 nm. Just curious.

    your tank is looking good and for some reason I like it with the background off. nice and clean, but too bad it takes too much work to keep it that way:)

    Thanks Triplemom, I only changed out 2 of the bulbs so far a 460 for a 420 marineglow(because it blew about a month after getting the fixture, and I traded out a 10k for a uvl 12000k.

    Yeh keeping the back clean is a pain..lol
    Now that I have the black on there you don't notice the back getting dirty as much.

    Tank looks good, I second the black background, I painted mine on my 55 first thing and haven't regretted it yet, makes all the colors really come out!

    Thanks for the info! I've been following some of the "bulb" threads and there are just so many bulb combinations to choose from! :confused:

    yeh I know it gets confusing. when I change out these bulbs I think I am going with ati bulbs.
