I just bought a Xenia frag and on the rock there appears to be a ricordea. Is it a ric or is it something else that could be a nuisance?

It's definitely a form of mushroom coral (looks to be a ricordea). They can spread pretty quick. But it's no more a pest than the Xenia you bought on purpose...

I plan on doing a ricordea farm with a few Xenia around it on the lower left half of my 75 once it finishes cycling.

Is there such thing as "a few xenia" ... I thought it was a tank full or bust lol. I got a small staggler of a frag with a Zoa colony I bought once.. within 6 months I was weeding more Xenia out of my 65 gallon than I was weeds outside in my garden lol.

I have seen some pretty awesome looking ricordea gardens. Done right it sounds like your plan will look pretty cool!!

I think this is looking to a mushroom variety. But where you found this?
