Ricky's 120 Gallon Mixed Reef

The new bulbs come today. Just need the reflectors and ballast. I'm thinking about the Lumatek e-ballast and Lumenarc III mini stealth.

 

how much does the reflector cost? I heard that they r really good have u try ic ballast

 

Each reflector is $139.95 they use to be $129.95 but ever since the LB's came out they bumped up the price of the LA III's. I talked to Marine Depot about the new IceCap and the Lumatek. They recommended the Lumatek. Lumatek is the number one selling ballast in the horticulture business (like IceCap for the aquarium hobby), they saw how over priced aquarium equipment is so they started selling ballasts for our tanks.

 

what do u use for the supplement? any t5 or pc? once you done your let me know what you think about your set up, i might end up getting hallide instead of t5 since they will create as much heat as much as hallide anyway.

 

I will most likely add a TEK II retrofit (includes two individual reflectors) with ATI bulbs for supplementation. I want to see if I like the MH only look first before I decide to add T-5's. My Dad and I came up with a sweet design for holding the lights, I can't wait to build it.

i found that ic diy t5 and tek II almost the same price better ballast thats about the different

 

hey Ricky, i cant seem to find the LB or LA III on marine depot point me out am i missing something?

 

is it just the reflector or is it the pendant?

 

Marine Depot doesn't sell either. I'm buying the reflector from Aquarium Lights Hellolights.com. I'm buying the ballast from Marine Depot.
