Your tank is amazing. Now I have tank envy :). Your tank is how I want my 120 to grow up to be. I checked it out on youtube also and must say the the pictures you post on here are great but the video's make your tank look so much better.

BTW.....What has your experience been with the biopellets? Are you still running them? What effects good or bad did you see with them? I am curoius because I am looking into them.

    Thanks

I stopped running the Biopellets, I didn't see a drastic change while using them.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Just a basic question. I noticed on one post you were having some algae issues with your frag rack. You went on to say that you added some asteria snails, do you think they did the most for the algae issue more than anything you could add to the system media or carbon wise?

I believe so because I stopped using Biopellets between 5 to 6 months ago and I still do not have algae growing on my frag racks as you can see from the latest tank shots.

On page 30 of 36 now, I'm going through your entire build thread. I have to say you have a wonderful tank & have some very great ideas! Keep up the good work! K+ to you.

If you look in my build thread you can see how my tank is somewhat similar in design(the stand(or it will be)). I'll have led pendents as apposed to mh though. I think for moonlights, I will do what you did for T5s with the open top tank but will LED strips.

Side shot looks really nice with the OF/return box covered up...another good idea. :)

Oh, another question... I see you use phosban reactors. Did you say that you had carbon in one reactor underneath your phosban media?

I've run both carbon and GFO in reactors and for me it's too much work having to clean the reactors. I currently run both in 200 micron mesh bags near my return pump. I was using the Phosban 550 reactor to run NP Biopellets in.

Thanks. You're rite; a media bag would be simpler & cheaper, as well. I guess I'll go that route.
