I believe this is a Ricordea Yuma? based on the mouth? As far as feeding goes - i understand that these are photosynthesis based corals however should i attempt to spot feed these corals - is the benefit worth the time, as my cleaner shrimp/wrasse usually pick what ever i drop onto the Ricordea immediately, the food is a mix of mysis and brine in algae

    Thanks for the input

No need to feed, just whatever is in the water for your other filter feeders and mostly light. spot feeding would be a waste they are pretty mushrooms there...

Looks like Florida rics, yuma's have a more outward pushed mouth stucture with bubbles all the way up the mouth to the opening. Florida's have a little bit that pokes out for the mouth but much smaller and no bubbles.

This is the one I have. A month into it it started to look like this.

I though it was getting to much light and current so i moved it I also have a green star polyp that would not come out. I started feeding DT's Phytoplankton and low and behold they are doing better. My tank must of been missing something in the water but now they are all doing much better. I have a tree coral as well that was looking shady. Now they are getting better.

I have been doing a 20 day of PhycoPure and then switch to a 20 day cycle of DT(the DT I do every other day during its cycle. Great results..

chetrod, I believe that is a hairy mushroom. I have had problems with the same type losing color like that. I think not enough light was to blame in my tank.
