    Its normal for ricordea to close up at the end of the tanks photocycle right?

    perfectly normal - these and other mushroom species can almost vanish when then are closed for the night

    Whew! Another question, I walked by my tank and one shroom was curled up a little with brown stuff coming out of its mouth. Is this poop?

    mushrooms and other corals with a mouth like LPS corals , do expel waste from the same hole they consume foods

    its typically a brown mucus string that comes out and sometimes fish will eat this as its exiting the coral in question

    at night they expel the fluids they contain and then sometime later, re inflate themselves with new water - they perform their own water changes
