    I did not realize this, I was under the assumption that it just smelled. I guess that makes sense.

    It may sometimes stink when you're transferring it to the tank or changing the curing water. I tank-cured mine during cycling and there was a day or two that the room smelled "fishy", but nothing unbearable.

    I cycle mine in the tank rubble and all.. maybe the fish like the smell!?!
