    I like to use one of those single LED lights like the ones you get for your key chain, that way you can light up just a small area at a time. I have spent hours looking at my tanks like this, wife thinks I am nuts!

    my led's are 40degree angle lighting zone and I have 6 of them mounted on my lighting fixture. I love it, white mixed with blue and the top of my water is constantly moving so you get that nice light reflection/wave stuff on the sand.. it's just a beauty to watch!!
