Has anyone used any of the hyperflo's? I got one last week, it is a 14 and it won't work right. The only way I can get it to work right is to unscrew the impeller housing and move it around, but then when I unplug it and plug it back in it runs slow again. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had problems before I exchange it for another one, or get a different kind of pump.

Yeh I know that's why I was wondering if they were like the early Rio's when 3 out of 5 were bad, I like them but when they have problems they really have problems.

I purchased a HF 12 and have no problems yet. I bought a HF6 and it made a loud humming noise right out of the box so I returned it.
Here's a customer service reps email address from rio:

I have rio's homepage web address at work, I will post it later.

I almost pick up a Rio 17HF for my 100g earlier this morning. When I read the store's return policy, I quickly put it back on the shelve because they don't give refund or exchange, it'll be for store credit only. Since some of the Rio HF have some issues right out of the box, now I'm leaning toward the Pentair Quiet One. Has anyone use the Quiet One, does it live up to its name?
