    Very sad LG. IMO when a dog has an owner such as yourself it is like they won the lottery.

    Sorry Tim, its always hard to let a friend go. Prayers bro, i sent this to you but this has made me appreciate how awesome they are and brings me a smile when I find it really impossible to feel happy: the whole article is great, but its a childs answer to why don't dogs live that long when he had to have his dog put down. I love it, and once again, sorry bro:

    sorry to hear you lost your best friend ....i understand how hard it is ....i lost mine last april to brast cancer ...she is also buried in her yard ...i was out cleaning dog pens today looking at the leaves falling in the yard and thinking how it won't be long until that patch of daffodils that i planted over her place will spring up for the first time and i started to cry but then i reminded myself that i planted those to remember how beautiful she was, and how much we enjoyed our wonderful friendship and how happy she made me. It's hard not to be sad forever when you lose a best buddy but just remember they always get so upset when we are upset..... that helps me to push the sadness away and remember the happy moments, those are the things you need to hang on to :)

    That is such a beautiful comment bugs - that dogs are really bothered when we are sad. I think I will keep that line in my head. I'm so sorry GD. I'm sorry I missed this thread and didn't express my sympathy before today.
