I had a casualty over the weekend. My Naso seemed to catch ich, so I QT'd it (with meds) for a week and a half, then it seemed to be fine. Spot free, eating really well, swimming great, no rubbing or anything. He was in my DT for a week and all of a sudden seemed to be moving very sluggish. It still ate, but not as aggressively as usual. Not being an easy guy to catch, I let him be for a few more days and he seemed to get worse. During a feeding, I netted him and once again to QT, from there he lasted a day and dies overnight. This was probably my fav fish of all.....join me in a moment of silence................

bummer, sorry for your loss. what probably happened was you treated the ich on your naso, not the stuff in the tank. The added stress of moving a couple times coupled with ich in the DT probably left his gills wide open for a fresh invasion.

Thanks guys. Is there something I can do to treat my DT? I know I can't use copper because of my corals, is there a reed safe alternative to treat it?

The only fail safe way to treat your display tank is to leave it fishless for 6-8 weeks.
