AW man! Does it work? then don't worry about how it looks! That's one thing I discovered soon after using forums. I ain't building this for no one but me and I'm the only person who needs to be satisfied with what I build. ;D So ingtar bro don't worry about your plumbing. And thanks for the compliment!!

so not sure if you looked here or not, or even what your price range is but here is a site that offers a pretty wide variety of mantis shrimp (also not sure which are considered rare but try checking it out): Mantis Shrimp and Invertebrates

I added 4 pounds of GARF grunge to the tank early last week. I've also been pushing the cycle with a deli shrimp and NutraFin cycle. Actually removed the shrimp the same day I added the grunge. I only saw a very small a very small spike in ammonia and nitrites before the N03 began to really climb. It topped out at 40ppm but waterchanges and adding a softball clump of chaeto to the sump has dropped and held that at <20ppm. A hermit was constantly irritating one of my neon toadstools so I have sentenced him to death by smashing. He's currently awaiting execution in the mantis tank. LOL Here's some pics of the changes.

crabs, fish, shrimp yeah pretty much anything that starts destroying corals. Even my kids if they get out of line...

"why'd you draw on the wall?"
    4 year old "cuz"
"go stick your hand in the TANK!
    Or
"Hey I saw you flip me off! Don't think I didn't see it"
16 year old "But why can't I go out with my friends tonight? You suck and it sucks being trapped at home!"
"That's it smartguy! You can take on me or the Mantis, what's it gonna be?"

LOL I'm really just joking about that! There's no way I would EVER make my 4 year old put his hand in the tank with a Mantis! LOL
