    Yeah I didn't have much success with getting mine in the mail either. If you didn't already have a fish in your tank I would offer to send you a Coronis scolopendra, but its a spearer type and I have no idea how well they fair in an aquarium. They can handle bright light though!

    O.K. Maybe I'm not meant to have one. ?? I found and ordered a G. Glabrous. It shipped overnight FedEx and was at my door @ 9:30a.m. CST

    So here's my second mantis. She's a G. Glabrous and is one of the harder mantis to come by. These are the DOA photo's I took for the seller. :(
    In the bag right out of the box

    Acclimated her as normal in hopes that she was just in shock from shipping. No such luck...
    After floating for 30 min and put in the tank as normal.

    Thanks Mag. Being that it's a rarer mantis it would be awhile before another was located. Billy over at stomatopod.com was very understanding and refunded the cost of the glabrous. I'm giving the mail order system one more try. I ordered an O. Havanensis and it'll be here tomorrow along with some goodies for my reef. ;D But if this one fails I am just going to continue on the nano reef build and patiently wait for my LFS to have a hitchhiking Osterdii.
