    Here's the system that I'm looking at, RO/DI Systems

    $ 195.00 - OCEAN REEF + 1 FIVE STAGE 75 GPD RO/DI

    * All systems are made to order with clear 10" canister housings
    * Stage One NSF rated 1 micron poly sediment filter
    * Stage Two 5 Micron Matrikx NSF rated CTO/2 Workhorse carbon block
    * Stage Three 0.6 Micron Matrikx NSF rated chlorine guzzler carbon block
    * RO membrane 75 GPD Dow Filmtec
    * Stage Five refillable cartridge with color-changing DI resin
    * 100 PSI pressure gauge
    * Auto shut-off
    * Membrane flush valve
    * Dual TDS meter
    * Quick connect fittings
    * Your choice of connection options to a water supply
    * Filter wrench to make cartridge replacement easy

    75 GPD is more than enough for me as I'll be storing water in a big ol' bucket anyways. For all of you that know RO/DI deals, is this a good one? I'd like to go quality more than cheapness, 200$ being the upper limit of what I'd prefer to spend.

    Thank you!

    I just got the ocean wave from them last week great RO/DI, great service. There in Duluth MN so it should get to you quick. The only step up in qualitily I could think of is the Spectra-Pure Spectra select line and those are a $150 more for the same features. The Filter Guys RO use the name brand stuff like the Filmtec membrane but the prices are still decent.

    If your city water uses chloramine I would go for that upgrade too.

    I just got basically the same thing with 2 DI from ebay for a bit over $100. It doesn't have a tank. 110gpd. TFC membrane. It tested 0 phosphates,0 Nitrates and 0 silicates.

    I know Jim from the filterguys. He is a good friend of mine. We both live in Duluth. He will take good care of you :D You won't get any better service and Jim is a reefer, he has 3 tanks. He has also started 3 reef clubs.

    I guess only locals can click on it::)
    This is what I got when I clicked on it

    You've got to be careful with the e-bay RO vendors. I am not saying your is Apollo but some of the Ebay guys use pretty cheap media in the stuff they sell. Also if your going to use the RO with a DI you shouldn't use a system if a RO membrane over 75GPD because in most cases they use a membrane with a lower rejection rate. That eats up your DI faster and ends up wasting alot of money. The FilterGuys setup come with a Dow Film-Tec 98% rejection membrane which is just about as good as you can get this side of the Spectra-Pure stuff that cost 2x as much.

    That is a pretty crappy water report. No, not that I see anything wrong, it is what is missing i.e., Calcium, Magnesium, Hardness, Alk, Silica, chlorine/chloraime etc. There is no way those are zero, especially when you are sitting on top of limestone and sandstone :D But they do not have to report those.

    I have ssen water reprots where thy list everything under the sun. The Arlington, Massachusetts area is the best one I have ever seen.

    That is a good deal! I just purchased the Spectra 4 stage 50 gallons per day for $129.00, but got a deal on it from my local pet shop due to all the business I give them. It normally costs around $200.00 retail.
