    The TDS-3 and TDS-4TP are good meters. I used to have the TDS-3 and I got it at Watts Premier. I now have the COM-100 which is like $59 but it reads down to the tenths of a part per million while the 3 and 4 read to single digits, which is still good enough for our uses.
    I'm not sure what the meter was at Lowes, I saw it but wasn't really paying attention at the time.
    I used that Water & Ice store for years before buying my first RO/DI and it was a big improvement over tap water for sure.
