i have been convinced on the RODI water,
next is to check with the pros on which system i should invest in for my 29 gallon. i priced the spectapure and it seems a little more pricier than the other brands.
any suggestions on size and brands?

Spectrapure is slightly pricier, but not once you consider the by-far superior features of the unit and TCO.

I have bought that same spectrapure unit great quality and very resonable price for all that you get with it and it still beat BRS by about $40.

At $145 Spectrapure is cheaper than everyone else, not sure what you are comparing it to unless its an ebay system which is nowhere near the same quality or lifespan.
SpectraPure Customer Appreciation SALE! 20% - 50% off

Others you might consider are the 75 GPD Premium from www.buckeyefieldsupply.com, the Optima Series from www.purelyh2o.com, or maybe the Reefkeeper from www.melevsreef.com .

I don't think you will find anything that compares to the CSP-DI though at $145 complete with a batch tested and treated RO membrane, 0.5 micron absolute rated not nominal rated prefilter, 0.5 micron 20,000 gallon carbon block, full size vertical refillable 20 oz DI filter with custom blended reef specific fresh resin, a dual inline TDS meter, an inline pressure gauge, a capillary tube flow restrictor and more.

Definitely go with the sale on azdesertrat's post. I bought that unit and a booster for 300 bucks and it works great. It is worth the price and you might not even need a booster if your water pressure is already at 40 - 80 PSI.
