I am getting a used ro/di unit and storage tank for $50 tomarrow. The guy says he has not used it in over 6 months so I should just buy new cartridges. I was looking around and it looks like melevs has the best deal at $65.50 a set. Do I really need to get new ones? Anyone have a good place to get them?

The R/O would be useless unless the thing was sealed and kept wet and refrigerated all tat time.. Bacteria will harm the membranes . If the D.I is a refillable cartridge then just recharge that and the prefilters and by pass the R/O.. But it would cost about 60.00 to replace them all where I get mine from..R.O D.I and Carbon and prefilter..
