    Initial unit costs vary widely but you can get an excellent unit for about $150 like the one mentioned at the begining of this thread.

    RO = reverse osmosis
    DI = deionize

    I only heat mine when i'm making up waterchange water, for daily topoff I don't bother, it drips into a high flow area of my sump and mixes with the tank temp fast enough to not be a problem.

    The faucet adapter Spectrapure sells is nice as it just snaps on and off so you don't have to unscrew any threads or disconnect any lines. It is the last item on the page here:
    PLUMBING ACCESSORIES FOR RO

    All the owners manuals for all Spectrapure RO and RO/DI units can be found and printed here:
    SPECTRAPURE MANUALS

    Any possible hook up diagram or plumbing configuration like adding an autoshutoff valve, float valve, solenoid, DI or drinking water kit can be found here:
    HOOK UP DIAGRAMS

    And any questions you might have on RO or RO/DI are probably answered right here on 3Reef in the Spectrapure Sponsors Forum found here:
    SpectraPure - 3reef Forums

    If it hasn't been answered already then ask the question, they monitor the Sponsors Forum.
