I just got my new filters in for my purewater 6 stage ro/di system. Once I changed out all the filters, membrane and di I turned on the water and I was getting a grey color to my water. I checked the water coloration after it passes through the membrane and it is clear but it is when it passes through the di is when I am getting the dicoloration. Is the DI breaking up inside the housing and defected. It was a real bummer as I was going to start using ro/di water. Does anyone know where I can buy the mechanical filter and Di at a Lowes or HOme depot. I hate to have to reorder it again and it take another week. thanks......

normally you should run it for a least a 1/2 an hour with the new filters and such. When I first got my 5 stage they said to run it for an hour before using the water.

You have to run new DI and filters for at least an hour before you have useable water.

I don't know about this brand. However, most units want you to waste a certain number of gallons of water. There will be fines from the carbon block, protective coatings on the RO membrane etc that they want to be rinsed away before using it to fill a tank.

The start up instructions for mine said to disconnect the membrane input and run for a few minutes to flush the prefilters but you're already past this point, then connect the membrane and run for about one hour to flush it.
