I am planning on getting an RO/DI unit for my tanks in my apartment HOWEVER, I do not want to make it permanent and I don't want to alter any pre-existing plumbing. Is it possible to have an RO/DI unit that I can just connect to like my faucet to use when ever I need it? I am RO/DI illiterate:-/ and don't know anything about them really.

I went to lowes and got one of the dual heads that you can connect 2 garden hoses to your outside spickettes. That way I am not altering the plumbing and it is turned on and off as needed by which head you want to use. Does that make sence? It does in my head but I don't know about yours!

There's plenty of info at www.buckeyefieldsupply.com
Call Russ there, he'll set you up with eveything you need so you can take it with you when you move and not alter your landlord's hardline plumbing. It's just a few valves and a T fitting, and it can be done in your bathroom, under the kitchen sink, washer/dryer room, etc...
