what are some good places online to check for good RO/DI filters? I live in alaska and the only places i can even buy fish suplies are basically petco and this other sketchy fish store with crazy infalted prices. im not trying to spend much more than 200$ hopefully so if anyone knows any good places to check or even a particular model that would be great.

Look into refurbished or used Spectrapure models. Hard to say with the crazy shipping prices out to you guys.

Spectrapure and Bulk Reef Supply are the two I like. I don't know how much more shipping to AK is though...

I went with a Bulk Reed Supply system myself. 150 GPD water savings 5 stage unit, with water drinking kit, TDS meters to measure tap water, RO water and DI water, pressure gauge and a float valve (a must have IMO). Total was around $350, but it has all the bells and whistles. I searched around and I thought that the best value was through BRS, as you should not have to by anything else to complete the setup. The water drinking kit is well worth it, and made an easy sell to the wife!

Also, make sure that your tap water does not have chloramines. Standard carbon filters will not get rid of them.

Do you think you could give me a link to that product? I can not find it when I search their website.
