ok so I am thinking of getting a ro/di filter, but have some questions. with these units have to be attached to a water source at all times? my tank is only 20 gallons, and I would like to get one that I can just attach to the faucet when I need to do water changes etc... so any thoughts. btw I think I am going to ditch my seaclone skimmer and get a remora. hopefully these two things will help with my algae problem. thanks for the input.

There are quite a few that attach directly to the faucet. Since your tank is only 20 gallons you won't need a very expensive one.

http://www.airwaterice.com has quite a few to choose from.

I went with a Remora AquaC, its kicking butt, however my hair algae stopped growing so fast. I got 3 Mexican turbo snails in last week and they go through the algae like bulldozers, you have to be carefull if you have any hermits though, I read that they like to kill snails to take their shell.
