    I use a 32g rubbermaid tub with a heater and large powerhead in it. When it comes time to remove water I use a large hose and hold it over the outlet of the powerhead and it automatically starts a siphon for me and I fill the jugs I use for water. This method has worked great for the last year and a half.

    I have two 32 gallon cans also. I keep them full at all times with fresh but in the even of an emergence I can mix for w/c or I end up with enough for top off. I also have 3 tanks so I use alot of water.
