I just recently got rid of my fish tank and was curious how would I keep my ro/di in storage? Should I just take ever thing apart and keep it dry? Would it be better to just buy a new unit when I start again?

I don't think I would mess with trying to keep the resin or prefilters. You can store the membrane so long as you don't let it dry out I think. If you search for it you should be able to find some info on how to put it in storage...I know I've seen it discussed before.

If it is going to be more than a month or two, remove the membrane from the housing, place it in a ziploc bag or seal a meal vacuum sealer bag along with some RO/DI or distilled water, seal it up and place it in the back of the refrigerator.
Same with the DI resin or cartridge but even when stored properly DI resin has a shelf life of 6 months or less.

The sediment and carbon blocks can be dried out with no problems.
