    Wow, another thing I didn't know about.. Haha

    So what you are saying is I only need to disinfect the sediment and carbon block sections? Not the membrane or di resin sections?

    You can't disinfect the RO section unless you remove the membrane as chlorine will melt it in a heartbeat.
    Usually if you have a bacteria, virus or algae problem it is in the first two stages as most are clear housings, the chlorine has been removed by the carbon and they can be exposed to direct light and warmth.

    The DI is easy to clean just by removing the canister and rinsing it out.
