    Ditto

I have high hopes for you. At least you understand to go with an industrial RO/DI unit. The shop I took over started all of their tanks with dechlorinized tap water, no skimmers on the display tanks, etc. and then wondered why the algae wouldn't go away. ::) I asked how are you going to sell RO/DI water to customers and I was pointed to a 50 GPD (RO only) unit. Sheesh. Well I ordered a Merlin with the dual DI add-on and, magically, the algae went away. It's amazing how that works LOL. It was affordable too. It was only about $600. Then when we built the QT warehouse, we moved the Merlin down there so I've used both spectrapure and Merlin systems.

I have a few questions for you... I purchased a nice fish tank system They are 75 gal tanks in stacks of 3. there are 8 units total. One unit is has 2 bow fronts with a dual sump in the bottom slot. So they are seperate units. I was planning on having corals and live rock in these with a couple of fish probably tangs to keep algae down. The other 7 units have 3 seperate sumps between them. So there would be 3 system between 18 tanks. All systems will have protien skimmers.

Would you run UV sterilizers on all three systems?
Do you QT all new fish before they go to your sale tanks?

    Hello-
Our System engineer Charles Gibbs would be happy to design a low waste system specifically for your store layout and needs. Just call 1-800-685-2783 and ask for Mr. Gibbs.
As it sounds like you may be making alot of water, possibly selling water as well, please consider that while the initial purchase price is a important factor, it is in our experience far outpaced by operations costs in a commercial situation. We also see this cost of operations factor in small systems (like the UHE 100) where due to low waste and operational efficiencies (design) both DI usage and prefilter usage rates are far below that of most typical systems which can quickly cover your initial purchase price difference. Another important consideration when designing a system for your application is your water conditions. This can also greatly effect operations costs, as well as either increase or decrease system requirements (and cost). Ultimately we prefer to review your application specifics, intended use, local water conditions, budgetary concerns etc and design something that will meet your wants and needs. Our desire is to enable you as a customer to be confident of their systems performance (not just price), superior operations cost, and enable you to service your customers as you would want to be serviced is our goal. We know you are committing your reputation with the system you select if you are in business and we want to make sure you have every confidence it is the best system for your parameters.

It is cool, although I didn't talk to him yet. He was out of town Friday and we exchanged messages. I am looking forward to getting a system from them.
